Defined Terms
“Brand Partner” | The business or company providing goods or services in connection with, or associated with the event. |
“Commercial Use” | Commercial use of any photographs and/or videos includes reproducing them for any manner that is primarily intended for or directed toward commercial advantage or monetary compensation. |
“the Handler” | The individual attending the event. |
“Media Partner” | The photographer and/or Videographer contracted to the event to produce the final photographs and/or videos. |
“Permitted Social Media Platforms” | Social Media Platforms limited to; Instagram, Facebook, X, Tiktok, Youtube and Threads. |
“Permitted Use” | The reproduction/sharing of photographs and/or videos solely for the Handler’s non-commercial use via the Permitted Social Media Platforms. |
BTAC Dog Training is the organiser of the event. The following terms are in the best interests of all Handlers, dogs, land owners and spectators. By registering for any events hosted by BTAC Dog Training, handlers agree to the following terms and conditions, and agree that they are 18 years of age or older and are competent to contract in their own name; that they have read the following and fully understand the contents, meanings and impact of these terms; that they understand that they are free to address any specific questions regarding these terms in writing, prior to registration, and agree that failure to do so will be interpreted as a free and knowledgeable acceptance of the terms and conditions. BTAC Dog Training reserves the right to change these terms and conditions at any time and commits to informing any registered Handlers for future events of such changes. Handlers will have 14 calendar days to raise any concerns with such changes in writing to BTAC Dog Training.
- Events, 121 sessions and training classes
- BTAC Dog Training organise and host events across the year but do not commit to any predetermined schedule for such.
- Events and services will be published via our website (www.btactrainingandagility.com) and advertised via our social media platforms.
- Spaces will be sold:
- as per the rate advertised at the time of publication;
- to the specified requirements of both dog and Handler appropriate to the event, as detailed at time of publication;
- and allocated on a first come first served basis upon receipt of payment.
- BTAC Dog Training reserves the right to refuse sale of an event at its discretion.
- Bitches in season and/or unwell dogs are unable to attend any events and the following applies:
- Handlers will be asked to remove any bitches in season and unwell dogs from the training area immediately;
- should a Handler become aware of any behavioural changes, illness and/or injury, or that their bitch has come into season prior to the event, the Handler must inform BTAC Dog Training immediately. This will be considered a cancellation by the Handler and Term 2.8 will apply in such circumstances.
- BTAC Dog Training reserves the right to request the immediate removal of any dog with reasonable cause, as defined by BTAC Dog Training, from an event. Such removal would be considered a cancellation by the Handler and Term 2.8 will apply in such circumstances.
- Where BTAC Dog Training cancels an event, it will at its discretion either:
- refund the Handler the fee, minus costs and the transaction fee of 3.5%;
- or apply the fee as credit to the Handler.
- Upon Handler cancellation for workshops the fee is non-refundable. However, the Handler may transfer their purchased place to another Handler, subject to approval by BTAC Dog Training. Such approval will not be unreasonably withheld. Whilst BTAC Dog Training may release the place for resell (transferred to the Handler less 5%), transfer of purchased places may also be arranged by the Handler.
- Upon Handler cancellation for classes and 121 training sessions, 48 hours notice is required. Post 48 hours the Handler may transfer their purchased place to another Handler, subject to approval by BTAC Dog Training. Such approval will not be unreasonably withheld. Whilst BTAC Dog Training may release the place for resell (transferred to Handler less 5%), transfer of purchased places may also be arranged by the Handler.
- Events may involve services, facilities or assistance of third parties, and Handlers are required to agree to any further stipulations from such, following registering for the event.
- BTAC Dog Training cannot be held responsible for the actions or admissions of any third parties, including any Brand Partners and/or Media Partners.
- BTAC Dog Training may provide products/goods for use during each event. Should the Handler have any accessibility requirements or training concerns, the Handler must discuss these with BTAC Dog Training prior to registration for the event.
- BTAC Dog Training may work with third party Media and Brand partners for each event. On registration for an event, the Handler agrees to the terms detailed in Clause 3.
- BTAC Dog Training does not accept liability for any dog or individual in attendance at an event. BTAC Dog Training cannot accept responsibility of any injury, loss or damage to person, dog or property that occurs whilst attending an event.
- Media
- On registration for an event, the Handler:
- grants permission to BTAC Dog Training and its associated Brand and Media Partners to use photographs and/or videos of the Handler at said event in publications, promotional materials, news releases, online or other electronic forms, communications or media related to BTAC Dog Training and its associated Brand and Media Partners;
- waives any right to inspect or approve the finished photographs and/or videos and/or printed or electronic matter in which the photographs and/or videos may be reproduced, now or in the future, whether that use is known to the Handler or unknown;
- waives any right to royalties or other compensation arising from or related to the use of the photographs and/or videos;
- agrees that photographs and/or videos released to the Handler are not permitted to be shared or reproduced for any Commercial Use;
- agrees to the Permitted Use of any photographs and/or videos released to the Handler;
- agrees to share the photographs and/or videos released to the Handler exclusively to the Permitted Social Media Platforms;
- agrees to properly credit and tag (where possible) BTAC Dog Training, the Media Partner and the Brand Partners associated with the event, in all photographs and/or videos released to the Handler, for the Permitted Use;
- and agrees and accepts that the Handler is not permitted to give consent for any photographs and/or videos shared with the Handler, to be shared with any third parties not named in these Terms and Conditions.
- Welfare
- A handler whose dog is attending a BTAC Dog Training event should take all reasonable steps to ensure the needs of their dog(s) are met, and should not knowingly put their dogs’ health and welfare at risk by any action, default, omission or otherwise.
- The use of pinch collars, electronic shock collars, or prong collars is not permitted at any BTAC Dog Training event. This shall apply at the venue or within the precincts of the event grounds.
